so here we design some ideas to solve the problem that most commonly experienced by people,

 which is smelly people in train 

We came up with the ideas of vending machine because as what we search about the function of vending machine : 

First, vending machine is an electronic machine used to disperse a product to a consumer after a certain      amount of money has been put into the machine. 

This could be one of an effective way by providing various product of fragrance 

The idea of having vending machine is to vend product without a cashier.

people who in a hurry of something, can easily choose the items they needed, in other words they do not need to go to the store. This already proof that vending machine give a lot of benefits to us.

We try to develop the idea from just a normal vending machine into something unusual, unique but still useable. we try to add smell sensor where we are going to put it on the right top of the vending machine 

we came up with this idea because we think it gives an immediate solutions for smelly people by scanning your body problem then directly the machine will give you the right fragrance product based on what you needed, and for non smelly people they can just pick the product that can help them to avoid bad smell

by the inspiration that we got, we develop the ideas from many kind of smell sensor into more specific to our goals of preventing  smelly people in train.

As we see in this pictures, some places at certain times (weekdays morning, friday afternoon, weekends) from what i have experienced and researched about the crowded in the public transportation, crowded may affect some people for having unsafe feelings worried and discomfort depends on their personal preferences.

Empathy :  is ability to mutually experience the thoughts, emotions and direct experience of others, so you give an action for other people.

Placement 
of the vending machine 

1. the first placement of the vending machine was between the sliding door of the train and the sittings where it puts near to the passengers so they can get immediate solutions, it may helps smelly people to prevent bad body odor or non smelly people to avoid bad smell

here we try to make it smaller and also shorter so it can fit perfectly and save place. 

2. some researches of the another placement for the vending machine. where we try to put it on the waiting platform so people can prepare themselves before and after their go inside the train and purchase the items easier during the peak hours.

The product that we chose inside the vending machine are mostly the things that helps smelly people to have immediate solutions for bad body odor. On the other hand, it helps non smelly people to avoid bad smell 

Compressed towel and t-shirt : it is available for those who are sweating badly or just work out. with the l and xl size that we provided, we hope it helps overcome the problem of bad body odor cause by sweat

Mask and tissue paper with small packaging: This will help non smelly people to avoid bad smell, and for those people who are sweating they can just wipe out their sweat with the tissue

FINAL IDEA

We chose vending machine as our final idea, because we think that this solution offer more remedies to solve the problem of smelly people in train. A vending machine can sell many products, which give passengers more choices.

Specifically, we decide to set up the machines both inside the train and at the waiting platform as well. The vending machines at the waiting platform will help people to purchase items that they need to solve the problem of smell before boarding. It also gives people opportunities to prepare  before boarding in time of peak hours, when the train is over occupied. On the other hand, vending machines setting up near the entrance of the train will help to provide immediate or unexpected case of encountering smelly people. However, the compensation of setting up the vending machines in train will take up the first seat each row near the entrance. With this plan, it helps people to purchase the solutions more readily.

We decide to set up two machines on each part of the train so that it will be easier for boarding passengers to purchase.

Because the machine will be selling small items for temporary use, we intend to minimize its size as much as possible so that it will not take up too much space in train. Next each since the machine will be set up on train we decide to round the edges of the machine to prevent people from bumping into sharp edges.

From the 5 best ideas of smelly people in train we developed into two combination ideas, there are fragrance chair + oxygen mask and vending machine + smell sensor

Fragrance chair and oxygen mask

We decide to combine these two ideas because we want to give more choices for passengers. If fragrance chair may produce uncomfortable fragrance to some people, passenger can choose to use oxygen mask, which would be installed in a cabinet underneath each chair. As the chairs produce the fragrance, it will spread into the air thus reducing the bad smell in the air.

Vending machine and smell sensor

Our idea is to create a machine that can both detect the problem and at the same time offer solutions to the problem. A vending machine seems to solve the problem as it can provide a variety of solutions to people who are aware of their body odor, and suffer from it.  The smell detector will be installed into the machine so that the vending machine will act as a doctor to detect and offer temporary solutions such as new t-shirt, candies, deodorant, and perfume to smelly people. On the other hand other passengers can purchase different items to avoid smelly people such as mask, small perfume, candies.
